Giant Food, a leading greater Washington D.C. regional grocery chain, announced the expansion of its distribution warehouse in Jessup, Maryland, which serves all 163 Giant Food stores throughout Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia and Delaware. The expansion will add over 95,000 square feet, a 23% increase in footprint, which will increase efficiency and add capacity for high-demand categories like organics, fresh produce, meat and seafood as well as other merchandise including fresh cut floral and seasonal products.

New Zealand King Salmon Co. is expanding its U.S. offerings with a retail line of premium wood-roasted salmon that provides a quick and easy way to transform an ordinary meal into an elegant and healthy repast. NZKS is also the largest salmon company in New Zealand and its Ora King salmon brand, sold almost exclusively to restaurants, is prized by top chefs including Daniel Boulud, Stephanie Izard, and Dominque Crenn. The EZ-FLO Continuous Heat Treat System works via a continuously-flowing conveyor and can hold from seven to 14 stacks of 48’’x40’’ pallets at a time. Pallets inside the chamber are brought to ISPM-15 standard temperatures to eliminate pests. Pallet stacks automatically enter and exit the chamber during the treatment process.

Lineage Logistics, (“Lineage” or the “Company”), has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Ontario Refrigerated Services, Inc. (“ORS”), a leading family-operated cold storage company offering temperature-controlled space in the Greater Toronto market, marking Lineage’s entrance into the Canadian market. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Interroll has completed construction on its second plant on their campus in Hiram (Atlanta) Georgia. The $11 million investment gives Interroll a substantial increase in capacity for the region.
