One of the industry's largest supplier of frozen trays, APT, is now part of Sonoco Plastics, a new unit formed by Sonoco, Hartsville, S.C.

At its 66th annual membership meeting in San Francisco, the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) appointed H.V. “Skip” Shaw, Jr. as group's president and CEO.

George Weston Limited said its subsidiary, Weston Foods (Canada) Inc. purchased ACE Bakery, a Toronto baker of frozen artisan and European-style rustic bread varieties, for $110 million.
