Americold Realty Trust, Atlanta, said it plans on August 30 to open a public refrigerated warehouse in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Canadian fast-food restaurant operator Tim Horton's Inc., Oakville, Ontario, said it sold its 50 percent interest in a Brampton, Ont., frozen bakery, Maidstone Bakeries, to joint venture Aryzta AG.

Citing cost reduction concerns, dairy giant Dean Foods Co., Dallas, said it plans to close a PET dairy in Florence, S.C., on Oct. 29, 2010.

Citing excess capacity in the fresh sausage industry, restaurant operator and sausage processor Bob Evans Farms Inc., Columbus, Ohio, said it will close its Galva, Ill., sausage plant, effective immediately.
