Sometimes a business opportunity becomes a new product. In other cases, that opportunity might require an entirely new business venture.

IMC Licensing, Louisville, Ky., said it will begin developing a portfolio of new brand-building licensed food and non-food products under terms of representation agreement with Pinnacle Foods Group LLC.

Citing cost efficiencies, Land O'Lakes Inc., St. Paul, Minn., said it plans in mid-June to close a butter processing plant in Madison, Wis.
