Eye on Operations: Citing financial reasons, North Dakota Branded Beef Inc., Bismark, N.D., said it plans to close a two-year-old beef processing plant in Harvey, N.D. . . . Petit Jean Poultry said it will close its Buffalo, Mo., plant in early October. Plant Manager Frank Sanderson told the Springfield (Mo.) News-Leader that the decision -- idling about 465 workers -- came after Tyson Foods opted not to renew a contract with Petit Jean.
