MSBO SPOUTS FOR CLEAN DEPOSITS
Hinds-Bock’s patented MSBO spouts allow for clean deposits of difficult-to-handle products like meat,fish, poultry and vegetables as well as unburnable products that previously could not be cleanly cut off. ONE MACHINE, MULTIPLE DEPOSITS
Unifiller’s multi-piston depositor is a heavy duty stainless-steel industrial depositor that’s ideal for volume depositing of muffins, cakes, sauces, dips, dressings, marinades and salsas, as well as automatic filling of various containers and tubs. A 16-gallon removable hopper provides for rapid sanitation and easy integration with a conveyor. Plus, it works with various attachments for plopping, spreading, decorating, injecting, extruding and more. Additional features include 4-8 across portioning, an adjustable nozzle for center-to-center versatility, a diving and fixed nozzle bridge, optional PLC controls for stop and go, recipe storage and an adjustable height stand. It also produces up to 40 cycles a minute and handles up to ½-inch soft particulates.
DRIPLESS CUP FILLING SYSTEM
Reiser and Vemag designed a dripless valve cup filling system that combines a Vemag portioner with a dripless valve filling attachment. An ideal solution for depositing precise portions of product, such as chili, deli salads, sauces, spreads and dips into cups, trays and packages, it can also portion tomato sauce onto pizza crusts, deposit sauce onto prepared meals or fill empty pie shells. This system features a positive displacement double-screw pump that provides high levels of portioning accuracy.
TAMPER-EVIDENT OVERCAPPING MACHINE
Fill-Tech Solutions introduced its new Fill-Star IL-31 tub filling and tamper-evident overcapping machine. Set up to run IPL’s new 4- and 5-pound in-mold labeled tamper-evident square containers, a tamper-evident security system securely locks the lid to the tub, protecting the product from undesirable openings.This machine incorporates five Allen Bradley MPS series servo axis. Other features include a stainless-steel door design with over 8,000 precision laser-cut openings in the door and guarding panels, an 11-gauge stainless-steel skin with drain channels, custom NEMA 4X overhead electrical enclosures and servo motors for the main drive, filler actuation, fill nozzles, lid pick and place and the out-feed tub lift assembly. This 3-lane machine produces an excess of 23,000 pounds per product per hour.

BATCH FEED SYSTEM
MULTI-FILL developed a batch feed system that dispenses metered amounts of bulk products like cooked rice, pasta, cut vegetables, fruits, meat, etc. into the hopper of a MULTI-FILL volumetric filling system. The configuration of the hopper and rams prevent bridging and sticking, allowing large quantities to be placed into the hopper with minimal monitoring. The batch feed system speeds up and slows down with the filler as the whole line increases or decreases in speed. Easy-to-clean design with lift-out parts, swing-away safety covers and quick release components are in place for easy sanitation, cleaning and maintenance. The hopper fills 80 gallons and provides for a first-in, first-out product flow.
NuTEC’s C-Frame depositors have improved the way many processors deposit fillings. These portioning depositors provide 45,000 deposits per hour of sizes up to 1.5-inch thick with accurate filling placement down the line. The C-Frame design enables the equipment to fit right into existing production lines to deposit fillings for stuffed sandwiches, quesadillas, calzones, sandwich wraps, cordon bleu, burritos, egg rolls, hamburgers, meat pies, chicken kiev and stuffed seafood shells. The unique feed system uses a rotating spiral that gently moves the product to the rotary vane pump, thus eliminating bridging and overworking because the product is neither rolled nor tumbled.
Spee-Dee Packaging Machinery developed a multi-lane filling system for a variety of dry product applications. Built with 2-, 4-, 5-, 6-, 8-, 10- and 16-drop configurations, these machines boost production rates with accurate fills for a variety of rigid containers. The cantilever design opens the machine up for efficient tool changing and cleaning. Group tooling provides fast removal of multiple funnels to accommodate changing applications. A Bosch Mi motor merges servo drive and servo motor into one integral unit, reducing the size of the electrical box and number of cables needed to connect to each individual filling lane. And, the optional hopper carts make for easy hopper and tooling removal for quick cleaning and changeover.
