3PL provider selects SaaS solution to fully automate LTL shipment lifecycle

project44 Evans Transportation
January 4, 2018

Evans Transportation Services, Inc., Brookfield, Wis., integrated project44’s SaaS solutions to fully automate the end-to-end management of a LTL shipment lifecycle from quote to invoice.

project44, Chicago, enables Evans to automate the full lifecycle of its customers’ LTL shipments, including pulling rate quotes and transit times, tendering shipments, accessing live visibility and retrieving real-time documents (BOL, W&I, POD and invoices) through a single, API-based integration point into its MercuryGate transportation management system (TMS).

Since project44 is already globally configured into the MercuryGate TMS, users like Evans secure unprecedented speed-to-market with instant access to normalized data from all LTL carriers, eliminating the need to make point-to-point integrations.

“Choosing project44 as a technology partner was a critical step to remaining competitive,” says David Cochrane, vice president of information technology for Evans. “Having accurate, accessible and complete information is the key to success in today’s market. As a full-service logistics solutions provider, Evans is committed to ensuring that our customers’ shipments are handled efficiently and with meticulous data transparency. project44 is unmatched in their ability to drive the market into deeper, more meaningful levels of digitization, making them a perfectly aligned partner for our efforts.”

“This kind of modern technology collaboration accelerates Evans’ ability to deliver on their mission to provide unparalleled customer experiences,” adds Tommy Barnes, president of project44. “No other technology solution allows for such comprehensive information symmetry, and it is certainly not possible using EDI or legacy systems. This serves as further proof that the industry is embracing advanced digitization, specifically around using best-in-class APIs for real-time data connectivity.”
