RifRaf, New York, launched RifRaf Ricotta Cups, what is said to be a first-of-its-kind ricotta cheese snack, which combines spoonable, lightly cultured whole milk ricotta and a sidecar of flavored jams and honeys.

“Believe it or not, RifRaf came to me as I was making lasagna in my kitchen, eating spoonfuls of ricotta cheese and thinking how well this would pair with honey,” says David Eisenman, chief executive officer of Madwell, a creative agency headquartered in Brooklyn, N.Y. “[Longtime friend and business partner Chris Sojka] talked me into buying a pint of ricotta to see what’s out there, and I instantly thought it would be something exceptional to snack on.”

This yogurt delivers a fresh, fine-curd texture with a subtly salty-sweet ricotta base that can easily pair with a whole range of curated jams and honeys.

RifRaf Ricotta Cups come in Serrano Pepper Honey, Wildflower Honey, Sun-Dried Tomato, Strawberry Balsamic and Meyer Lemon, and are available in select Whole Foods across the Tri-State area, including locations in Union Square, Williamsburg and Columbus Circle, for a suggested retail price of $3.39 for a 4.6-ounce cup.
