Now in its third year, the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA), Alexandria, Va., and United Fresh Produce Association, Washington, D.C., present Global Cold Chain Expo 2018, to be held June 25-27 at Chicago’s McCormick Place.

Global Cold Chain Expo 2018 is said to be the only event where businesses gather to find solutions and share best practices for managing the complexities of the perishable supply chain. Attendees gain a high level of brand recognition and targeted business development opportunities in front of key buying audiences that produce, handle, store, transport or are involved in the distribution of perishable products and looking to optimize their supply chain and/or improve facility operations. And, the show floor will consist of more than 7,500 decision-makers and innovators from retail, foodservice, processing, production, distribution, logistics and transportation representing refrigerated, frozen, ambient and fresh operations.

New expo on the show floor. New this year is the new and fifth expo to join the already co-located shows—the International Floriculture Expo, United FreshMKT and United FreshTEC. The new SmartFood Expo, launched by United Fresh, EnsembleIQ, Chicago, and Progressive Grocer magazine, will focus on the “better-for-you” market, bringing retail and foodservice buyers a one-stop shop to natural foods, plant-based foods, fresh and healthy, organics, raw foods and products with clean labels and limited ingredients. The SmartFood Expo Conference will bring together industry leaders to explore consumer trends, market data, merchandising strategies and more to help retailers and foodservice executives build upon growth in the “healthy foods” segment.
