Single-lane, off-line conveyor for bottled salad dressings

Multi-Conveyor, Winneconne, Wis., built a single-lane, off-line accumulation, Alpine-style conveyor to detect and accept various sizes of bottled salad dressings.

The conveyor allows for accumulated product to be staged and redirected toward downstream equipment when upstream product flow is halted, which enables the accumulator to empty. The system will stop and restart accumulation as designed.

The alpine is controlled by photo-eyes, proximity switches, solenoids and filter regulators. When triggered, pneumatic clamps extend and divert product traffic directly into the vertical accumulator.
