Numi Organic Tea leaps from tea aisle to refrigerator case

Numi Organic Tea
March 8, 2019

Numi Organic Tea, Oakland, Calif., leaped from the shelf-stable tea aisle to the refrigerator case with two new product lines—Tea Latte Concentrates and Daily Super Shots.

“We’re excited to elevate Numi’s presence in trending categories beyond the tea aisle,” says Ahmed Rahim, co-founder and CEO. “Our line of green, black, white, turmeric and herbal blends featuring functional ingredients have been very successful while garnering numerous awards. We’re excited to build on this success by bringing our innovative, flavor-first approach to drive growth in these emerging categories.”

The new Tea Latte Concentrates are available in Matcha Green Tea Latte and Turmeric Chai Golden Latte, with just 6 grams of sugar per serving, 50% less sugar and made with only organic, ethically-sourced, non-GMO plants and spices. Matcha Green Tea Latte is a smooth blend of premium matcha with a touch of cinnamon and ginger for a unique twist on a traditional Japanese-style tea, while the Turmeric Chai Golden Latte contains organic, Fair Trade Certified turmeric from the company’s farming partners in Madagascar and is blended with warming chai spices such as cinnamon, ginger and cardamom.

The Tea Latte Concentrates boast a suggested retail price of $8.99 per 32-ounce recyclable bottle. Daily Super Shots will be available in April for a suggested retail price of $3.99 for a 2-ounce glass bottle. This summer, Numi will launch an 8-ounce multi-shot bottle containing four services for a suggested retail price of $12.99.
