JBT Corp., Chicago, signed a definitive agreement to purchase the assets of Cooling and Applied Technologies (C.A.T.), Inc. for $90 million.
Nor-Lake, Hudson, Wis., enhanced its Chill Smart Blast Chiller Freezer line to offer self-contained refrigeration cabinets with a system designed to rapidly and uniformly decrease the temperature of hot foods to either a chilled or frozen state.
The Linde Technology Center can also run mini-batch freezer trials and demonstrations for spiral freezers and nitrogen immersion freezers.

The Linde Food Technology Center in Cleveland, Ohio, can now perform higher-volume and longer test runs to validate performance of new cryogenic processes for crusting, cooling or fully freezing foods.
The addition will encompass additional freezer space and a chilled processing area.
