House of Raeford Farms, Rose Hill, N.C., announced plans to phase out all operations at its Raeford, N.C., turkey cook plant within the next 60 days to focus its attention and resources on chicken production.
Farbest Foods, Huntingburg, Ind., will begin production on Dec. 9 (a month ahead of schedule) on a fully automated, 227,000-square-foot turkey processing plant in Vincennes, Ind.

enough distinction, Butterball LLC’s Mount Olive, N.C., plant deserves
attention for several other reasons.
