Food Process Solutions (FPS) has announced the launch of their Spiral Immersion System (SIS) targeting food processors in North America as their first market. The technology first developed in 2018 are exceeding expectations of not only chilling and freezing food products but in pasteurizing, cooking and sous vide applications. This is considered a game changer for food processors looking for superior performance as well as savings in labor and energy costs.
Danfoss has named Vikas Anand as vice president of sales in North America for its recently formed Climate Solutions business segment. Anand joins the US and Canada sales organization after leading the Danfoss Cooling business in Asia Pacific and India, where he focused on growing the business in areas related to infrastructure, energy efficiency, and climate change.
Blackline Cold Storage has broken ground at the site of their new 298,000-square-foot cold storage facility to be owned in partnership with Artemis Real Estate Partners at the Port of Houston, Texas. The facility will provide approximately 70 new jobs to the area when the first phase of construction is complete on the 36-acre site in TGS Cedar Port Industrial Park.

B&G Foods has appointed Kenneth C. “Casey” Keller as its next President and Chief Executive Officer, effective June 14, 2021. Mr. Keller will succeed B&G Foods’ Interim President and Chief Executive Officer, David L. Wenner, who will remain a director of the company and will work closely with Mr. Keller to ensure a seamless transition. Mr. Keller will also be elected to B&G Foods’ Board of Directors.
Constellation Cold Logistics has announced that HSH Coldstores, a Constellation platform company, is significantly expanding its footprint. Plans have been submitted for a £15m development which will create up to 50 jobs at the leading business park on the south bank of the Humber, in the UK. When completed, the state-of-the art facility at Europarc business park will increase HSH Coldstores’ capacity in Grimsby by over 30,000 pallet positions.
Great Lakes Cheese (GLC) has broken ground on a 286,500-square-foot cheese packaging and distribution plant that is expected to employ 500 people in Abilene, Texas.

Bitchin’ Sauce’s Cilantro Chili won the silver award in the Dip & Salsa category as part of the Specialty Food Association’s (SFA) 2021 sofi Awards, a top honor in the $158 billion specialty food industry. Cilantro Chili was one of 130 winners selected from nearly 1,500 entries across 49 product categories. Additionally, the Cilantro Chili flavor has expanded distribution to 500 new Target locations across the U.S.
