Magnum ice cream, the chocolatier of ice cream, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary in the U.S. in 2021. To recognize this milestone, Magnum ice cream is introducing an updated look, new products, and celebrating with the help of brand friends, like former Magnum ice cream spokesperson Rachel Bilson. Rachel helped launched the brand in the U.S. with a now iconic campaign that features her leaping over standstill traffic for a refreshing Magnum ice cream bar.
Anchor Packaging broke ground on a 90,000-square-foot, $21.5 million expansion to its Paragould, Arkansas, manufacturing facility, which will bring 45 new jobs over the next 30 months.
Port of Oakland Executive Director Danny Wan was just appointed Vice President of the California Association of Port Authorities (CAPA). During a week celebrating Ports Day 2021, which highlights the significant contributions California ports made to assist the state’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Wan fills the key leadership role effective immediately. The role was left vacant following the passing of Port of Richmond Executive Director Jim Matzorkis in December.
Hormel announced the appointments of Jeff Frank to vice president of Grocery Products, leading the strategic integration of the Planters and Corn Nuts brands into Hormel Foods. The Planters and Corn Nuts acquisition was announced on February 11, and is expected to be completed by the summer. Frank currently serves as vice president of marketing for the Foodservice business within Hormel Foods. Additionally, Annemarie Vaupel, currently director of marketing for the Foodservice division, will advance to vice president of marketing for the Foodservice division.
Dan Powers, President and CEO of Fisher Construction Group recently announced that agreements have been completed to acquire the personnel and assets of All Surface Roofing & Waterproofing of Spokane. The new division will be called Fisher Roofing Services. All Surface’s parent company of Santa Ana, CA is not part of the acquisition, and will continue operating as a separate company.

Julie Lam, a key architect of the Port of Oakland’s COVID-19 response has been officially named the agency’s Chief Financial Officer. Lam had been the acting CFO for the past 10 months. Lam will be responsible for financial management, budgeting and accounting in her new role. She’ll also oversee human resources, risk management, purchasing and enterprise resource planning.

Bush Refrigerated Vans has opened a new 15,000-square-foot production facility dedicated to the manufacturing and upfitting of refrigerated vans and trucks. The state-of-the-art facility, located just north of Cincinnati in Lebanon, Ohio, features a full range of machines for vehicle upfitting, including a spray system for insulation as well as dedicated areas for exterior decal application. Vans are customized to each customer’s needs and can be built to maintain refrigerated and frozen temperatures.
My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream, has rebranded the company and will now be called My/Mochi. The four-year-old brand, with roots in a 100-year old family business and mochi tradition, also introduces new packaging, a product free of corn syrup, and non-GMO ingredients.
