SANITARY ROTARY FINISH ON VIBRATORY CONVEYORS

Key Technology introduced a rotary polish as the new standard finish on its vibratory and horizontal motion conveyor beds. Replacing the 2B mill finish on Iso-Flo, Impulse and Horizon conveyors and processing systems, Key’s rotary finish provides a smoother stainless-steel surface that resists bacterial attachment and biofilm formation. Additionally, it provides a more constant Ra value of less than 10 µin, which better resists the attachment and accumulation of bacterial cells in fruits, vegetables, potato products, meat and dairy.

BAKING BAND TRACKING SYSTEM

Ashworth’s ActiveTrackBaking Band tracking system offers proactive and consistent bidirectional tracking of oven bands, ensuring improved product quality and longer band life. The ActiveTracktracking system employs the use of high-temperature, self-cleaning, non-contact sensors to collect and analyze band speed and position data to track an oven band to within +/- 1/8 of an inch. Equipped with an integrated alarm system, ActiveTrackutilizes external heavy-duty bearings and rollers with an adjustable center roll; three rollers on the return path and two rollers for the load path of the oven. ActiveTrackis powder coated for corrosion resistance, and is suitable for use with all tight woven, articulated and solid steel bands with a maximum width of 63 inches.

MODULAR CONVEYOR

Eaglestone Equipment released its PL Series line of modular conveyors, which can be built with decline, incline, horizontal and turning configurations. The PL Series can be used to build a temporary production line for a pilot run or help reduce manufacturing overhead. Sanitation options, such as flip clean conveyors for fast and easy cleaning, crevice-less stand-offs and static nose bars to eliminate bacteria build-up points, can be included. An integrated power transfer bar may also be added to help aid in maintaining product orientation.

SANITARY CONVEYOR FOR HIGH CAPACITIES

Built to handle 40% higher capacities over previous models, the new FastBack P2 400E horizontal motion conveyor from Heat and Control is a sanitary solution for high-volume transfer and distribution. Products convey at up to 30 feet per minute, depending on product characteristics. The FastBack 400E conveyor can be configured with longer or wider pans and distribution gates to handle a variety of frozen product applications, including chicken, meats and vegetables. Its new Clean-Chassis design features flush water-tight doors, a sloped self-draining top and special sanitary drive arm seals. And, the 1-piece, stainless-steel conveyor pan requires minimal cleaning effort.
