METTLER TOLEDO’s 880 Auto Wrapper boasts an operational footprint of less than 20 square feet, said to be one of the most compact systems available in its class. Operators simply place the trays on the infeed tray, and the machine’s insertion mechanism and centering belt correctly position any skewed or angled trays in a fraction of a second. Features include a large touchscreen display, a tactile numeric keypad and an energy saving mode, which automatically shuts down the heating element when not in use.

ROBOTIC CASE PACKER FOR FLEXIBLE PACKAGES

JLS Automation expanded the capabilities of its Osprey robotic case packer to now include casing of more than 150 flexible packages, including pillow bags, stand-up (quad-type or doyen) resealable pouches and more, per minute. A HFFS or VFFS delivers the packages, and by use of vision-guided technology, the case packer automatically orientates the packages when picking and prior to casing. Case handling is performed via a new pinch belt design, allowing for quick changeovers and better sanitation.

MULTI-WRAPPER WITH AUTOMATIC FILM SPLICER

The Douglas Contour Series M-60 multi-wrapper with automatic film splicer allows operators to stage clear or printed film while the machine is running. Splicing is automatic, without an operator present, resulting in precise print registration and reduced machine downtime. The multi-wrapper runs single, dual or triple stream bundles of PET bottles at various cycle speeds, up to 60 per minute.

TURNTABLE STRETCH WRAPPER

Muller LCS introduced RAPTOR HPL high-profile turntable stretch wrapper with Logo Wrap and a built-in roping device. The Logo Wrap promotes one’s brand on pallet loads, reduces tampering of product with its one-of-a-kind film, shields product visibility and can be applied anywhere on the load. And, the roping device further ensures greater load containment by tying the load to the pallet. This heavy-duty, semi-automatic machine can wrap up to 35 loads per hour, and boasts an elevated turntable platform ideal for high debris and harsh environments, intuitive controls and an easy-to-use interface. The patented strain gauge technology allows for electronic film feed and optimized handling on pallet load corners. The turntable also contains a lubrication-free power pre-stretch carriage with variable pre-stretch levels from 100-300%.
