Plumrose USA, a prepared-foods and packaged-meat company providing high-quality protein products throughout the United States, and a subsidiary of parent company JBS USA, is planning to build a new bacon facility that will produce ready-to-eat, fully cooked bacon in Randolph County. The facility in Moberly is expected to bring nearly 200 new jobs to the region and represents more than $68 million in capital investment.
Hormel Foods Corporation has reached an agreement to acquire Texas-based Sadler’s Smokehouse. Sadler’s Smokehouse is a family-owned business that specializes in premium and authentic pit-smoked meats for retail and foodservice customers. Hormel Foods has been a customer of Sadler’s Smokehouse for over two decades.

Dean Foods Company (“Dean Foods” or the “Company”) today announced that it and certain of its subsidiaries have entered into an asset purchase agreement with Dairy Farmers of America (“DFA”) through which DFA will acquire a substantial portion of Dean Foods’ business operations. Pursuant to the agreement, if consummated, DFA will acquire 44 of the Company’s fluid and frozen facilities and the real estate, inventory, equipment, and all other assets necessary to operate such facilities (the “Stalking Horse Assets”).
Three new models have been added to Carrier Transicold’s next-generation Supra series of diesel-powered truck refrigeration units, providing more powerful cooling choices for small to large box trucks. Carrier Transicold is a part of Carrier, a leading global provider of innovative HVAC, refrigeration, fire, security and building automation technologies.

In order to increase production capabilities, Jones Dairy Farm underwent an expansion and renovation of the former McCain Foods Inc. plant. This included a 68,183 sq-ft. addition to the existing processing plant, resulting in a 306,263 sq-ft. total facility. The expansion consisted of a new process area, refrigerated truck dock, employee area mezzanine, and parking and site improvements.
