What’s new in 2019

Out with the old, in with the new, and at Refrigerated & Frozen Foods, there are a lot of new and exciting things coming up in the New Year.

Check out what topics are heating up our 2019 editorial calendar.

  1. Pet food processing equipment. New to our 2019 editorial calendar is pet food processing equipment, where we cover the equipment and solutions in this ever-growing category.
  2. Sponsorships. All sections of our print magazine, including cover stories, now entail sponsorship opportunities. Click here to learn more about how your brand can get more industry recognition.
  3. Best New Retail Products contest. I’m starting to gather nominees for our 8th annual New Products contest (voting goes live in February 2019). If you’re launching a hot new product within the next couple of months, please make sure I receive the press release and images. Click here to learn more about how this contest works. And, don’t forget to check out the sponsorship positions available for this coveted industry award.
  4. Hydroponic farming. This method of growing plants and produce is taking the industry by storm. Learn from experts in the field—literally—on how this works.
  5. Women in logistics. What was once a male-dominated industry is now slowly incorporating more women, and these women are in charge. Hear what they have to say about the future of cold storage and logistics.

Marina Mayer was formerly Editor-in-Chief of Refrigerated & Frozen Foods. Previously, she spent four years as managing editor and executive editor of Snack Food & Wholesale Bakery and Dairy Foods, both sister publications. In this role, Mayer was responsible for reporting on market trends, ingredient R&D, production technology and new products within the dairy, snack food and wholesale bakery markets. Prior to joining BNP Media, she served a five-year tenure as editor of quality control for Manufacturers' News, Inc., where she was named “Manager of the Year” in 2006. Previously, she worked as an editorial assistant for Insider Magazine and worked as a contributing features writer for her college newspaper, the Indiana Daily Student. Mayer was a recipient of a Young Leader Scholar award, presented from American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE), which is given annually to only five U.S. journalists, 30 years of age and under. She is a graduate of Indiana University with a bachelor’s in journalism.
