Addressing financial analysts on Tuesday, ConAgra Foods Inc. CEO Gary Rodkin unveiled several plans to support the company's retail frozen food division. ConAgra, Omaha, Neb., will extend its Healthy Choice frozen entree line with a new marketing campaign (breaking March 30) and several new meatless meals. Meanwhile, the Marie Callender's frozen entree line will adopt the popular Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers technology and introduce several new items, including an Italian-style Pasta Al Dente, said Rodkin. ConAgra said it also has reworked its Banquet frozen meal business to keep the brand line priced at about $1 without compromising quality.
