Perdue to open new learning center

The center will be equipped with integrated smart boards and the latest in audio-visual resources.

Perdue Foods, Salisbury, Md. Announced plans to move its corporate training center to the Main Place building at 214 W. Main St. in downtown Salisbury.  

The new 5,000-square-foot space, designed by Fisher Architecture, Salisbury, Md., will provide a multitude of flexible training and community meeting spaces that can function independently or together. The center will be equipped with integrated smart boards and the latest in audio-visual resources. A large training room will provide seating for up to 100 people. Two additional classroom-style spaces will each hold 30-40 people, and additional space will be utilized for small group meetings as well as contain offices for staff members. The design plan also includes a small kitchen and storage space. 

 “We’re excited about our move downtown and the opportunity to be part of the city’s revitalization,” says Kathryn Danko-Lord, director of talent management and organizational development. “At Perdue, we recognize that our success depends upon our associates, and our investment in the new Perdue Learning Center is an investment in their growth and our company’s future, as we prepare to enter our second century. We’ll bring associates from across the country at every level of management to the Learning Center to develop their professional and personal skills to help them be successful in their careers.”

Renovation of the building is expected to be completed in approximately 90 days.
