SOMMA Foods partners with Dot Foods to reach new customers

Through Dot's network of more than 4,300 distributors serving all 50 states and more than 25 countries, SOMMA products will now reach new customers who desire clean label poultry, beef and dairy menu additions.

SOMMA Foods, a Dallas, Texas-based foodservice company, announced a partnership with Dot Foods, Mt. Sterling, Ill., to make its Chickentopia and Merrywood Farms products more accessible to foodservice customers nationwide.

Through Dot's network of more than 4,300 distributors serving all 50 states and more than 25 countries, SOMMA products will now reach new customers who desire clean label poultry, beef and dairy menu additions.

"We created Chickentopia and Merrywood Farms in response to the growing customer demand for nutritious, clean label options," says Kevin Potter, vice president of sales at SOMMA Foods. "We are thrilled to partner with Dot to reach more operators who are looking for the clean label products that we provide. In addition to being the largest food industry redistributor, Dot shares our passion for innovation, and we believe they will be a great partner as we continue to expand our availability and offerings."

Beginning this year, the following ready-to-eat fully cooked Chickentopia and Merrywood Farms products are available through Dot:

  • All natural, NAE, 100% veggie fed chicken Drumstix, tenders, filets and nuggets
  • Nitrate and nitrite-free chicken franks and mini corn dogs
  • 100% grass-fed beef burgers
