Petaluma, California-based Amy’s Kitchen has launched a line of gluten-free veggie crust pizzas, the only pizzas available with organic ingredients and multiple vegetables. The new crusts feature organic cauliflower, organic sweet potato and organic broccoli, and the pizzas are topped with slow-simmered tomato sauce and mozzarella.

“We are mindful of the consumer demand for not only adding more vegetables to their diet but for clean, organic ingredients. Amy’s is unique in our ability to deliver high quality, delicious organic meals,” says VP of Culinary, Fred Scarpulla. “We’ve spent countless hours in our kitchens perfecting a veggie-centric crust that meets our consumers’ high expectations.”

Available flavors:

● Gluten-Free Cheese Veggie Crust Pizza
● Gluten-Free Spinach Veggie Crust Pizza

Available through UNFI and KeHE, the pizzas carry a suggested retail of $8.59 and come 8 to the case. All Amy’s products are produced at an egg- and peanut-free facility.

“Our consumers write to us about how they’re always looking for delicious ways to get more veggies in their diet, and our veggie crust pizzas help make it easier to enjoy their favorite foods without the guilt (or gluten)!” explains Amy’s founder Rachel Berliner. “We thought, what if eating more veggies was as easy as eating more pizza?—and got to work!”

Consumers are echoing what industry specialists have also noted. According to the Oppenheimer Group, “Millennials consume more fresh fruits and vegetables than any other demographic at 2.7 servings per day.”
