Tai Foong USA, a leading importer and distributor of responsibly sourced seafood and Pan-Asian specialty foods, announces natural appetizer offerings, ideal for the everyday at-home cook. The two new additions, Honey Walnut Shrimp and Crab Rangoon, join Tai Foong USA’s current Northern Chef and Royal Asia branded product lines boasting enticing flavors with superior quality.

The new products include:

  • Northern Chef Honey Walnut Shrimp (MSRP: $6.99) – Naturally gluten-free, this product features lightly coated, butterfly-cut crispy shrimp, a sweet-honey sauce and candied California walnuts. Easily and quickly prepared in an oven at 400 degrees for 18 minutes or in an air fryer at 400 degrees for eight minutes, this dish is great as an appetizer or paired with rice for a complete meal. Northern Chef’s Honey Walnut Shrimp is available at select Safeway stores.

  • Royal Asia Crab Rangoon (MSRP $6.99) – Packed with Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified snow crab and carefully held together by handmade crispy-wonton skin, the Crab Rangoons are 100% natural with no MSG and includes a zingy sweet chili sauce for dipping. The appetizer can be easily prepared in an oven at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or deep-fried at 375 degrees for only eight minutes. Royal Asia’s Crab Rangoon can be found at all Whole Foods stores.

“Honey Walnut Shrimp and Crab Rangoon are favorite dishes found in Chinatowns across America, and we wanted to develop high-quality versions of them for consumers to enjoy at home, which is especially important right now as we’re all spending more time in our own kitchens,” said Eric Lam, COO of Tai Foong USA. “The new offerings, perfect as an appetizer or main dish, not only add variety to our already-established Northern Chef and Royal Asia brands, but they also line up with our mission to provide sustainable and responsibility-sourced products without chemical additives.”

Tai Foong USA sources its seafood from handpicked locations across the globe and takes pride in partnering with local fishermen and marine scientists to bring consumers fresh, wholesome seafood without harming the ecosystem to ensure fisheries thrive for generations to come. It works with fishermen and farmers to follow trade practices that don’t focus on maximizing production, but rather working responsibly and sustainability at all times. Tai Foong USA strives to source from MSC certified, Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) certified, Monterrey Bay Seafood Watch approved and Fishery Improvement Project fisheries while devoting its efforts to consistent excellence in craftsmanship, quality of product and service.

Once the daily catch reaches Tai Foong USA, it’s processed immediately to preserve freshness, nutrition and taste. The chefs preparing the products respect the ingredients throughout the entire process and use no harmful chemicals. Aside from working directly with fishermen and farmers, Tai Foong USA also relies on marine scientists to gather data on the ecosystem and monitor overfishing, bycatch and the overall health of fisheries to prevent environmental harm.

Northern Chef and Royal Asia products are available for consumer purchase at select Costco, ShopRite, Whole Foods, Sprouts, Albertsons, Safeway and more.
