The Creamery will offer a variety of dairy products, including cheese curds, artisanal cheeses, ice cream, convenience items and more.

The plant will produce cheese and whey products that are marketed globally.

In fact, 60% of respondents could name more than five cheese varieties if asked.

The construction project will add four 1,500 square feet of production and warehousing space to the existing facility.

Arla Foods decided to take this step because the production and distribution of the specialty cheese produced in Sonthofen no longer corresponds with the strategic orientation of Arla’s businesses in Germany and Europe.
