SÜDPACK has acquired LPF Flexible Packaging B.V. (“LPF”) from the Clondalkin Group. The company, located in Grootegast, the Netherlands, is a leading manufacturer of high barrier films for sensitive products. LPF was founded in 1907 and has long-standing experience in the development and production of packaging materials. For SÜDPACK, the acquisition is a further key element in its long-term growth strategy.
RLS Logistics, a national third-party logistics provider specializing in temperature-controlled logistics, announced their 2020 contribution total for their Pallets 4 Plates program. In 2020, through their program, 365,291 plates of food were supplied to charities in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Utah, including Food Cowboy and the Food Bank of South Jersey. Also, equivalent cash contributions were made to Baker’s Club of Philadelphia, American Heart Association, Pink Clover Foundation, numerous local schools, and youth sports teams.

Sysco has purchased more than 21,000 gift cards providing a cash flow boost totaling more than $525,000 to support its restaurant customers across the United States. Each of these $25 gift cards were given to Sysco’s operations frontline associates in appreciation for their hard work and dedication to the company’s customers.
Siew Keat Tung has been promoted to Managing Director of Multivac Malaysia. He also took over the management of the Multivac Singapore subsidiary at the start of the year. The previous managing director, Soon Heng (Robin) Lim, will leave the company at the end of February 2021.
Sproud, the Swedish maker of a range of plant-based milks announced it has raised $6.5 million from growth capital investor, VGC Partners. The investment will be used to grow Sproud’s team, accelerate the brand’s distribution and brand building activities in the company’s core markets - including the US, Canada, and the UK - and for further development of its plant-based and dairy-free product range.
