Alpha Foods has made their plant-based Chik’n Nuggets accessible worldwide through a new partnership with KFC in Hong Kong. As part of KFC’s “New Era” plant-based series (which also includes Gardein's New Era chicken burger) the popular Alpha Nuggets are now available to carnivores and flexitarians alike at select locations across Hong Kong.
The report finds consumers are becoming conscious of the effects their diet has on the environment.

According to the 2019 Power of Meat Report, compiled by the Food Marketing Institute, Washington, D.C., and Foundation for Meat & Poultry Education & Research, Washington, D.C., eating meat is still the norm.
According to Euromonitor International’s health and nutrition survey, 21% of the surveyed global consumers are trying to limit their meat intake, driving sales of global meat substitutes to reach $23 billion by 2023.

Eight in 10 U.S. consumers have changed their own or their family’s diets to try to be healthier, with over 39% of them increasing consumption of fruits and vegetables, according to the 2018 Consumer Lifestyles Survey, conducted by Innova Market Insights, The Netherlands.
