Fonterra’s CFO Announces Intention to Retire

ASSOCIATIONS/ORGANIZATIONS:

Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, Madison, Wis.
Marty Pullin was promoted to director of channel management programs, responsible for directing the regional WMMB managers. Pullin joined WMMB in 2009 as regional marketing manager-Midwest retail, working with large retail accounts, such as Kroger, Hy Vee, Supervalu and Meijer.

European Cold Storage and Logistics Association, Belgium
Luc Put was named president, taking over for Hans van Leeuwen, who has served as president for the past year. Put, chief executive officer of Colfridis Invest, will be responsible for mapping out the future of the association.

 

PROCESSORS/RETAILERS:

Fonterra Cooperative, New Zealand
Chief financial officer Jonathan Mason announced his intention to retire in the next six months, and plans to remain committed till the end of the financial year while his successor is identified. Before joining Fonterra in 2009, Mason was executive vice president and CFO of Cabot Corp.

 

SUPPLIERS:

Fusion Paperboard, Versailles, Conn.
Joel Laroche was promoted to general manager of the boxboard division, responsible for overseeing operations at the Sprague Mill, as well as production, maintenance and sales and marketing. Meanwhile, Hank Somer was named vice president of sales and marketing.

Florida East Coast Railway, Jacksonville, Fla.
Francis J. Chinnici was appointed senior vice president, engineering and purchasing, on the heels of Robert B. Stevens, vice president and chief engineering officer, announcing his retirement. Chinnici joins FEC following 29 years with CSX, where he most recently served as vice president, purchasing and materials.

A M King Construction, Charlotte, N.C.
Matt Miller was named project manager, responsible for managing construction projects within the food manufacturing and distribution markets.

Hanson Logistics, St. Joseph, Mich.
Jack White was promoted to vice president and CFO, responsible for all aspects of accounting, risk management and finance, as well as 401k and pension plans. Before joining Hanson Logistics in 2009, White worked for 18 years at the Maytag Corp. and Whirlpool Corp., leading financial initiatives supporting manufacturing, sales and marketing.

Retrotech, Inc., Victor, N.Y.
Paul Deveikis was named chief executive officer, taking over for Peter Hartman, who announced his retirement earlier this year. Deveikis brings a distinguished career in the distribution and material handling industries. He was president of Wynright’s engineering and integration unit, and has nearly 30 years of executive level experience in sales and operations for multi-channel companies.

SPX Corp., Charlotte, N.C.
David Singer was named an additional member of the company's board of directors, for a term expiring in 2016. Singer, chief executive officer of Snyder's-Lance, Inc., led a decisive turnaround at Lance, Inc., overhauling supply chain, sales, marketing and distribution. In late 2010, he guided Lance, Inc.'s merger with Snyder's of Hanover, Inc. to create Snyder's-Lance, Inc.

Norfolk Southern, Norfolk, Va.
Jerry Hall was named vice president of intermodal operations, succeeding Robert Huffman, who is retiring Feb. 1. Hall joined Norfolk Southern as a management trainee in Hattiesburg, Miss., and progressed through numerous positions in the transportation department, including superintendent of the Dearborn, Harrisburg and Lake divisions, until his appointment as general manager of the Northern region in 2009.

Industrial Concepts, Inc., Georgetown, Ky.
Scott McElmurray was promoted to vice president and general manager, on the heels of ICI’s acquisition from Heartland Steel Products, LLC. McElmurray brings more than 17 years of experience in manufacturing, sales and engineering.
