Two Global Leaders in Performance Packaging Solutions Join Forces

December 12, 2013

Scholle Corp., Irvine, Calif., and IPN USA Corp., Peachtree City, Ga., will combine their businesses to form a new diverse performance packaging company, employing over 2,000 people globally. The combination of IPN and Scholle will provide performance-based packaging solutions from its multiple manufacturing locations in North America, Europe, Australia, Latin America, China and India.

IPN is a high-quality manufacturer of packaging solutions entailing various types of flexible packaging components such as connectors, spouts and pumps for pouches and bag-in-box systems. Through its packaging group Scholle Packaging, Schoelle is a provider of bag-in-box solutions, aseptic packaging solutions and filling equipment.

"IPN's mission is to become the world's leading packaging component provider utilizing design innovation and high-quality cleanroom manufacturing to enable the growth of pouch systems and healthcare solutions. This makes IPN a great complimentary fit with Scholle. We are excited to harness the synergies that this combination brings to the flexible packaging market, and to take novel solutions to our current customers and on to new retail and institutional applications," says Rob Scholle, chairman.

"Scholle's long history of success in creating valuable, innovative system solutions such as barrier films, dispensing fitments and aseptic filling equipment for the beverage, food, wine and non-food industries is parallel to IPN's dedication to providing our international customers with creative ways to increase their profitability with sustainable, smart packaging solutions," says Laurens Last, IPN's founder.
