The Paperboard Packaging Council, Springfield, Mass.
Clyant Sirois was named member services coordinator, responsible for regular correspondence with members, fielding concerns and ensuring member satisfaction. Additionally, he assists in maintaining the PPC website and social media accounts. Prior to joining the PPC team, he served as a human resources specialist at an automotive manufacturing company. Meanwhile, Brian Westerlind was hired as communications manager, responsible for crafting content for blogs and social media pages. He also disseminates relevant news and information to trade magazines and other media channels. Most recently, he served as the assistant nanager of a coffee house.

Norfolk Southern Corp., Norfolk, Va.
President James Squires will assume additional responsibilities in line with the company’s normal succession planning process. Effective June 1, the company’s marketing and operations divisions will report to Squires, as well as administration, finance, law and corporate relations and planning and information technology divisions. Squires joined Norfolk Southern in 1992 and served in several law positions before being named vice president of law in 2003, senior vice president of law in 2004, senior vice president of financial planning in 2006, executive vice president of finance in 2007 and executive vice president of administration in 2012. Squires was named president in June 2013

Akro-Mils, Akron, Ohio
Jim Daw was named plant manager for the company’s Wadsworth, Ohio, facility. Daw previously was director of operations for Myers Industries’ lawn and garden segment, and was transferred to the Myers material handling segment to assume the Wadsworth plant manager position. Daw joined Akro-Mils’ Wadsworth plant in 1996 as manager of shipping and warehousing, and was later promoted to operations manager.

Dorner, Hartland, Wis.
Mike Wilkins was appointed regional sales manager, responsible for working with sales channel partners and key accounts to grow the company’s industrial and sanitary conveyor business throughout the upper Midwest. Wilkins joins Dorner after a 7-year career with THK Global, where he most recently served as a regional manager working with clients in Minnesota and North and South Dakota.

Adept Technology, Inc., Pleasanton, Calif.
Marco Mina was named sales engineer in Southern Europe. Mina has more than 20 years of experience in the robotics business, and most recently worked as a technical manager for ARS Srl, an Italian machine manufacturer and Adept distributor.

Modular Conveyor Express, Oconto, Wis.
John Pesicek was named national distribution manager and Chuck Sena as channel manager, both responsible for developing dealer relationships and continuing to build upon MCE’s established line of quality equipment. Pesicek will be responsible for all business west of the Mississippi River, and Sena will manage all business east of it. Each of these professionals brings more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing of packaging equipment and automation engineering.
