Lone Star Cold Storage, Inc. announced plans to build an 82,000-square-foot addition to its current 145,000-square-foot headquarters facility in Richardson, Texas, a suburb of Dallas/Fort Worth.

“We’ve known that North Texas needs additional refrigerated storage, and we are diligently working to complete the expansion. We look forward to offering the additional storage space for our current and new customers,” says Andy Fisk, president. “The expansion will add approximately 10,000 pallet positions of storage and refrigerated dock space, providing 10 additional doors for unloading and loading of customer’s product.”

Lone Star Cold Storage currently employs over 25 team members.

“Current projections indicate we will initially need to hire 15-20 additional team members. A total of 40 new team members will be needed once the expansion is fully utilized,” adds Dane Bear II, general manager.

“We look forward to serving the demands of our current and new customers with our expansion and state-of-the-art technology,” says Dane Bear Sr., vice president of business development. “Our expansion will feature high-bay LED lighting and a demand control system that is custom designed to offer the specified refrigeration conditions while providing energy savings.”
