Bubbies Ice Cream, the iconic mochi brand, debuted two new mochi flavors at Natural Products Expo West 2023: Ube and Mocha Chip. Expo West attendees will be among the first to taste these newest additions to Bubbies’ portfolio of handheld mochi treats.

The Ube variety fuses classic Japanese-inspired mochi with creamy, vibrant Ube, a purple yam that has long been a staple in the Philippines, to make a new highly desired mochi ice cream flavor. Ube has been gaining popularity as a rediscovered flavor, and 2023 is positioned to be its biggest year yet as Ube continues to show up on various food trend lists and in food and drink creations. This year, Bubbies will bring this on-trend, globally inspired flavor to the masses in a new and exciting format. Bubbies Ube Mochi Ice Cream will be available beginning in the third quarter at an SRP of $5.99-$6.99 per 6-pack box. 

In addition to Ube, Bubbies debuted its new Mocha Chip flavor at the show, which will offer consumers a twist on the traditional coffee ice cream scoop by wrapping creamy, coffee ice cream with chocolate chips in delicate, chocolate mochi dough. The super-premium coffee ice cream in this perfectly-portioned sweet treat is made using a Kona Coffee Blend – a blend of coffee that’s farmed and processed in the Kona Coffee Belt on Hualalai and Mauna Loa in Hawaii. This sourcing offers a deeper connection to Bubbies Ice Cream since the brand started off as an ice cream shop on the island of Oahu in 1985. Available nationally at Whole Foods and Wakefern beginning in the second quarer, the Mocha Chip flavor will have an SRP of $5.99-$6.99 per 6-pack box.
