Genio Della Pizza, the frozen pizza line from famed New York chef Anthony Mangieri of the critically acclaimed Una Pizza Napoletana, is now available at retailers nationwide. 

Mangieri is a pioneer of Neapolitan style pizza in the U.S. and his restaurant, Una Pizza Napoletana, was ranked  No. 1 pizza in the world on Italy’s prestigious 50 Top Pizza’s 2022 ranking and No. 1 in the U.S. in 2023. Three years ago, he sought out to bring high quality pizza that is handmade in Italy, wood fire baked, and made with natural Italian ingredients such as Italian plum tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, and Italian oregano, to consumers nationwide. 

After working tirelessly to create the perfect frozen pizza, Genio Della Pizza launched earlier this year in the New York City area with four pizzas, Margherita, The Bianca, Broccoli Rabe and Marinara, and is now available across the nation for the first time

Genio Della Pizza is redefining frozen pizza in that it is made in Italy and is all natural, hand-stretched, 24-hour-risen, and wood-fire-baked. The products are made in Italy with Italian ingredients such as basil from Liguria, Sicilian sea salt and flour milled in Italy. The dough is hand stretched by a team of artisans in Italy, specially trained to work with the unique nature of Anthony’s dough - it pushes the hydration level, giving the pizza a lighter and more interesting dough structure. Lastly, the pizzas are cooked in wood-fired ovens with a blend of oak and beech wood from local Italian farms.

For the first time since launching a few months ago, Genio Della Pizza is increasing its distribution to become available to consumers across the country.  The pizzas are found in the frozen food sections of major national retailers including Whole Foods Market, Bristol Farms, Fresh Direct, Go Puff, Goldbelly, Nugget, Lassens, Feed, DeCicco & Sons, and more. The line-up of pizzas includes:

  • Margherita - Italian Tomatoes, Buffalo Mozzarella, Fresh Basil.
  • The Bianca - Ricotta Cheese, Buffalo Mozzarella, Fresh Basil, Garlic.
  • Broccoli Rabe - Italian Tomatoes, Buffalo Mozzarella, Broccoli Rabe, Olives.
  • Marinara - Italian Tomatoes, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Oregano, Garlic. 
     
     

About Anthony Mangieri
A pizza pioneer recognized globally for his craft, Anthony originally grew up in a close-knit Italian family in New Jersey. He developed a pizza obsession at a young age, and persuaded his mother to drive him to every well-known pizzeria in the tri-state area. This early fixation developed into a lifelong dedication to creating the perfect pizza—something that he remains steadfastly dedicated to every day.
