Sargento Foods to expand Kiel, WI facility

The construction project will add four 1,500 square feet of production and warehousing space to the existing facility.

Less than 2 years after a major addition and renovation, Sargento Foods Inc., Plymouth, Wis., announced plans to expand its Kiel, Wis., facility. The construction project will add four 1,500 square feet of production and warehousing space to the existing facility, and will remodel 7,000 square feet.

The planned construction will begin in early April, wrapping up by the end of 2018.

“We are proud to once again be growing in Kiel. This project will support our commitment to producing safe, quality and legal products for our customers and consumers,” says Louie Gentine, chief executive officer. “We keep every family in mind when making our products, including every member of the Sargento Family—our employees.”

The increased production will likely add 25-40 employees.

C.D. Smith Construction, Fond du Lac, Wis., was selected as the general contractor for this project.
