COMFORT FOOD-TYPE SALADS
Ready Pac Foods, a Bonduelle Fresh Americas brand, introduced new Slider and Reuben Bistro salads. The Slider Salad features mini charbroiled burger patties, sitting on a bed of crisp iceberg and romaine lettuce and topped with grape tomatoes, cheddar cheese, dill pickle-flavored croutons and Thousand Island dressing, with 11 grams of protein and only 350 calories. Meanwhile, the Reuben Salad features uncured corned beef, shredded Swiss cheese and sauerkraut-flavored pumpernickel rye croutons, served with red cabbage, iceberg and romaine lettuce and dressed with Thousand Island dressing, with 10 grams of protein and 320 calories.
PROTEIN-PACKED SNACK
Kraft Heinz partnered with the UFC Performance Institute to develop P3 Portable Protein Pack. This snack features rotisserie-seasoned chicken, pretzels, mozzarella cheese and dried cranberries, uses a 2:1 ratio of carbohydrates to protein and contains 11 grams of protein and 25 grams of carbohydrates. The new P3 Portable Protein Pack is available at retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $2.99.
FROZEN BREAKFAST, SIDES, APPETIZERS
Kraft Heinz collaborated with The Pioneer Woman to develop new frozen breakfasts, sides and appetizers. The frozen breakfast offerings include poppable Chorizo Egg Bites, Roasted Vegetable Egg Bites and Cowgirl Quiche. The frozen sides include Green Bean Casserole, Broccoli Cauliflower Casserole, Country Corn Casserole, Fancy Mac & Cheese and Sweet Potato and Kale Casserole. And, the frozen appetizers include Goat Cheese Bites with Marinara, Zucchini Chips with Sweet & Sour Sauce and Toasted Sausage Ravioli with Marinara. The Pioneer Woman’s new line of frozen offerings boast a suggested retail price of $5.99.
REFRIGERATED ON-THE-GO PROTEIN SNACKS
Dutch Farms Inc. added On-the-Go Protein Packs to its line of ready-to-eat refrigerated snacks. On-the-Go Protein Packs come in String Cheese with one hard-cooked, peeled egg and pepperoni; and Pepper Jack cheese stick with one hard-cooked, peeled egg and Genoa salami. Each Protein Pack boasts 18-20 grams of protein per serving, with only 1-2 grams of carbohydrates.
VEGETABLE-BASED BITE-SIZED SNACKS
Del Monte Foods debuted Veggieful Bites, a blend of vegetables and real cheese baked in a cauliflower crust. Veggieful Bites come in Broccoli and Cheddar, Spinach and Feta and Veggie and Mozzarella, and contain a full serving of vegetables in every five bites as well as 9 grams of protein. Veggieful Bites are also made with real cheese and a whole wheat and cauliflower crust.
FRESH PRODUCE SNACKS
FiveStar Gourmet Foods revealed its new Simply Fresh snack line, featuring 25 SKUs of fresh produce combinations sold in 3- to 6-ounce sizes. TRIOS features plant-based dips along with fresh produce combinations for a suggested retail price of $2.99. SNACKERS offers an assortment of items for a suggested retail price of $1.99. 4-KIDS is specifically designed with kids in mind, and boasts a suggested retail price of $2.99. Del Monte Foods, Inc. introduced Fruit Crunch Parfaits. This non-dairy snack option offers a full serving of fruit mixed in silky coconut crème with creamy and crunchy granola layers. It comes in Mango, Strawberry, Blueberry and Pineapple Coconut.
PLANT-BASED GUACAMOLE BOWLS
Wholly Guacamole introduced new keto-, paleo- and plant-based guacamole bowls in 7.5- and 15-ounce sizes. Made with hand-scooped Hass avocados and real ingredients, these new bowls come in Classic, Chunky, Spicy and Hatch Chile. New guacamole bowls are available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $2.99-4.99.
SEAFOOD-BASED APPETIZERS
Handy Seafood debuted new seafood-based appetizers, available in grocery stores nationwide. The Nashville Hot Shrimp includes shrimp dipped in a cayenne-infused buttermilk batter with crunchy panko breading, and the Shrimp Rolls are shrimp topped with a sweet chili sauce, and hand-wrapped in a thin and crispy pastry wrapper.
PIZZA BITES
Del Monte Foods announced Contadina Pizzettas. These pizza snacks feature a blend of Roma tomato sauce, real cheese and crust baked with real cauliflower, and offer one full serving of vegetables in every five bites. These authentic pizza snacks come in Four Cheese, Margherita and Garden Vegetable.
SINGLE-SERVE PIZZA ROLLUPS
Farm Rich developed new Farm Rich Time Outs, which are microwavable single-serve snacks with custom dipping sauces and packed with up to 21 grams of protein per serving. They come in Pepperoni Pizza Roll-ups + Marinara Sauce, Fiesta Chicken Roll-ups + Mild Poblano Ranch Sauce, Boneless Chicken Bites + Sweet BBQ Sauce and Mozzarella Bites + Marinara Saucec, and are sold in the freezer section of Walmart and Publix nationwide for a suggested retail price of $3.49-4.39.
