LASER-PERFORATED LIDDING FILMS

KM Packaging Services’ invisible laser-perforated lidding film allows a foil tray containing pre-prepared vegetables to be placed directly on a barbeque grill to cook. Oxygen moves through the film into the sealed tray to replenish the oxygen consumed by the respiring vegetables; the film also allows carbon dioxide to escape from the pack and for the trays to be stacked. Additional lidding solutions are available to match specific fruit and vegetable storage conditions, processing techniques and preparation methods.

DIGITAL REFRACTOMETER

The Pro-Juice Refractometer provides a measurement accuracy of 0.01 °Brix (the final dilution ratio) for sucrose solutions and a reproducibility of 0.02 °Brix between orange juice samples, regardless of temperature deviation or operator skill level. Sold under the Bellingham + Stanley and SI Analytics brands, this measurement tool can achieve the same high accuracy results for orange juice as it can for other fruit-based juices and focuses on the practical handling of the sample prior to high accuracy measurement. Digital refractometers measure re-constituted fruit juice to assure product quality and reduce losses by tightly controlling concentrate yields.
