Hanan, the 75-year-old manufacturer of wholesale whipped toppings, icings, and dessert fillings and original creator of Tasty Whip, is offering Sunrise Supreme, its proprietary vegan soft-serve ice cream--in chocolate and vanilla flavors--to distributors, restaurant chains, and food retailers nationwide.

With a growing demand for vegan products, Hanan responded to requests from distributors who wanted vegan-friendly alternatives for the cafes and restaurants they service. According to Grand View Research and The Vegan Society, “from 2012 to 2017 the meat-free food demand grew by 987%.” What’s more, the term vegan products “is Googled three times more than gluten-free and vegetarian products.”

“Sunrise Supreme is ideal for distributors that work with retailers and facilities that have soft-serve machines, such as ice cream shops, food stores, amusement parks, and foodservice facilities,” said Hanan Products’ COO Ryan Hanan. “The potential for a delicious product like this, which is cost effective, is huge. It can even be useful to college dining halls for students who are either vegan or dairy-free diet. It’s important that people who follow a vegan or dairy-free diet can enjoy a summer treat.”

This vegan frozen dessert is currently sold to health food stores. Now, Hanan is making its vegan ice cream available through distributors to restaurants, foodservice operators, food retailers or all kinds, ice cream shops, and other end users.

Sunrise Supreme is priced at $41.00 for vanilla and $43.00 for chocolate for each 30 lb. pail and comes soft-serve machine-ready, in liquid form. Each pail makes about 200 cones.
