They say one good turn deserves another. So too, one good new product deserves another, according to SeaPak Shrimp Company, St. Simons Island, Ga.

A unit of Rich Products Corp., SeaPak Shrimp is following its best-selling Popcorn Shrimp product with new SeaPak Popcorn Fish. Popcorn Fish are round, bite-sized portions cut from whole, flaky Pollock fillets and suited for a variety of occasions -- from snack-time to appetizers to a center-of-the-plate dish.

“This product is unique and special,” says Bryan Jaynes, director of marketing. “We wanted to create an item that was both original and delicious – just like something you would find at a beach town restaurant.  We’re confident that we’ve succeeded, and people of all ages will enjoy this fun taste of the coast.”

Jaynes says SeaPak Popcorn Fish may be popped inside a tortilla for a fresh take on tacos, on top of a salad as a “crouton with protein,” or served as a center of the plate meal with a variety of savory and sweet sauces.

Consumers can bake or fry SeaPak Popcorn Fish, which come in a resealable bag.

Compared to the recognizable fish stick, officials say SeaPak Popcorn Fish is lower in saturated fat and calories than other popular brands and contains no high fructose corn syrup and MSG.

“SeaPak’s Popcorn Fish is the fish stick made better,” adds Jenna Reed, SeaPak’s recipe director and author of the company’s Savoring Shrimp and Seafood blog.  “We’re confident when kids and adults try SeaPak’s newest Popcorn Fish, they’ll toss minced-fish fish sticks out to sea forever!”

SeaPak Popcorn Fish is available nationwide with a suggested retail price of $6.49 for each 22-ounce bag.   Each bag contains approximately 50 pieces of bite-sized fish.
